Shrooms Cafe is designed to enable end users with different needs to find the right service for them. With both low dose and higher dose options, the cost and pricing can vary quite a lot.
This center offers to host discounted sessions for marginalized communities, including targeted sessions for these identified communities:
People who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+), Senior citizens, BIPOC, and American Indian/Alaska Native people (BIPOC-AI/AN), Military Combat Veterans, People with low-income, People with disabilities, People living in rural areas of the state, Immigrants and refugees.
We are open to other communities forming. One way we intend to further support these communities is to have hiring policies that favor the best practitioners, and pairing practitioners with communities to represent both sides of the spectrum, the end user and the teacher.
Shrooms Cafe intake allows an individual to identify with a population to get discounted services. Shrooms Cafe will create community sessions that allow people who identify to group together. We will promote communities such as rural, BIPOC-AI/AN, LGBTQ+, and others as they form.
The Shrooms Cafe team will be focused on the communities we serve and learn from the feedback of the participants.
The Shrooms Cafe team has built and is growing an application to manage the registration and verification process for each member attending a session. We plan to use this service to track identification of marginalized communities, as well as the discounts and benefits provided to them in their journey.
Shrooms Cafe’s goal will be to provide a 10% reduction of fees to members of marginalized communities.
Our first equity report was delivered in August 2024. Shrooms Cafe wasn't operating yet, so it did not include details of operations. Our next report will be August 2025.
